About the Award

This award recognizes projects that encourage parental involvement in fostering a love for Arabic. 
It enables children to develop a positive attitude to learning Arabic through their parents / guardians by integrating stories, cultural elements, and sensory experiences into their day-to-day lives. Resources developed for this award should spark and sustain children's curiosity for learning Arabic by offering activities that align with their natural interests and sensory experiences.

Illustrative examples of submissions: 

  • Storytelling using diverse mediums that reflect UAE culture and heritage
  • Family and social games designed to deepen children’s familiarity with Arabic
  • Interactive games that require collaboration between parents and children

Eligibility

Resource submitted for this award needs to be developmentally appropriate and support the learning experience for students aged 1 – 6 years old (nurseries, KG 1 and KG 2).

Encourages interaction and communication in the Arabic language while providing an entertaining and educational experience.

Includes parent engagement models that outline ways/approaches for parents to be actively engaged in fostering children’s learning of Arabic in their day-to-day lives.

Celebrates cultural diversity by incorporating the Arabic language, culture, and valuable life lessons into the child’s experience.

Must be inclusive for children of all needs and backgrounds.
