About the Award

This award recognizes efforts that encourage the use of Arabic language in early education while connecting it to national traditions, customs and values, highlighting Arabic as a core pillar of the UAE's cultural heritage and fosters a deeper appreciation for its history.

Illustrative examples of submissions: 

  • Emirati traditional games inspired by local environment to teach vocabulary
  • Lullabies or music reflecting UAE culture, history, and heritage
  • Dialogue cards designed to spark meaningful conversations related to UAE traditions

Participation
Eligibility

Open to all educators across public, private and charter schools in Abu Dhabi.

Submission Requirements

Your submission must include the following:

Resources submitted for this award needs to be developmentally appropriate and support the learning experience for students aged 1 – 6 years old (nurseries, KG 1 and KG 2).

Accessible and encouraging both native and non-native speakers to use Arabic and understand its cultural and societal significance.

Reflects UAE culture and values, inspired by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s wisdom, determination, and loyalty.

Uses creative, engaging and age-appropriate teaching methods.

Must be inclusive for children of all needs and backgrounds.
