Standardized Assessment (IBT ACER)

Standardized benchmark assessments are particularly important for Abu Dhabi because they evaluate skills that are foundational to every student’s education, their ability to engage with science and technology, and their future competitiveness in the global workforce. These assessments take place every year based on curriculum type.

The Australian Council for Educational Research - International Benchmark Tests (ACER-IBT) is an internationally administered program of assessments to compare student performance globally, between grades and over time. The tests cover Arabic, Mathematics and Science for 9–16-year-olds. The assessment is taken by students of the following curricula: Indian and MOE.

The award is result-based and recognizes schools that demonstrate progression in their scores across three cycles in the following categories:

• Outstanding Progress Overall
• Outstanding Progress Math
• Outstanding Progress Science
• Outstanding Progress English
